First of all, I’m not very technically inclined, so forgive me if I’m leaving out key pieces of information. I will do my best to update, and I appreciate your patience. Feel free to address me in baby talk, as I’m a little lost.
I scrounged through the user guide and the forum, and I haven’t seen this exact problem addressed, so here goes nothing:
I am running Windows 11 on a Dell XPS 15 7590, using LibreOffice 7.4.1.
I’m creating a presentation in Impress with several video clips that include audio. I am using AVIs that I converted from MP4 with VirtualDub using the Xvid MPEG-4 Codec. They play correctly in everything but LO. The inserted AVIs play video as expected, but the volume is permanently muted (crossed out icon, can’t change it).
Is there some setting I missed for this? Should I be processing my video files differently? Using a different output format? Hopefully I’m not just being obtuse. Any input is appreciated.
