Hello everybody,
I can’t find an answer online, why in writer a background colour that is set in FORMAT/PAGE STYLE/AREA/Colour isn’t exported into a PDF. I do not find any option in the export menu either.

Any idea how to do that? Thx for your time …

Since it works for me (LO 25.8.3.2, but nothing changed in recent releases about this function), attach a sample file for a look.

Thx for the reply. I tried it with a new document and it works as well. Funny that I didn’t try this by myself! The problem was with one document, not with writer. Problem solved, document fixed.

Not so much a problem as a setting. Click File > Printer Settings and in the dialogue, click Options button. Tick the box labelled Page background to include the page background for that document.

If it were all documents that were not exporting the background, then the setting is in Tools > Options > LibreOffice Writer > Print

Juhu! That did the trick, even with the so called “faulty” document. I expected this setting somehow in the PDF export menu …
THX

Ideally, you could set it to include the background for PDF but exclude it for print.
