Base form labels becoming 3d

Many of my Base forms now show all control labels as 3D. I reset them to ‘without frame’ but they revert back to 3D. If I set them to flat, they show the outline and are not 3D.

I’m asking this here for now on the assumption that there has been a ‘feature’ change and that there is some easy setting to fix this.

This is quite new. I’m on Version: 25.2.5.2 (X86_64) / LibreOffice Community

Yes, it is 167358 – FORMS: Label controls, saved without border, will be shown with 3D-border. It is fixed in the upcoming 25.2.6

LO Base Label border selection "Without frame" not working - glitch

I updated my system yesterday and Labels in my LO Base forms changed to 3D look and had a black border. [Screenshot_20250801_095537] Labels can be reset to “without frame”, but the change does not save and the 3D look with a black border remains after reopening the form. LibreOffice Base puts a 3D border around all label fields and will not let me remove it

While working on a form in Base, the application crashed. I restarted and recovered my data using the crash wizard. After that, every single label field in all of my forms, no matter what database I open, has a 3D border around it. I try changing it in edit mode and save, but the border comes back. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling LibreOffice, deleting my profile, creating new databases, and no matter what, Base overrides my border settings and puts a 3D border on all of my label and text …

Fixed versions 25.2.6 is not released, but “available”,
25.8 was released recently: I’m not sure, if Ubuntu will provide updates unless you are using Snap.
