Base is muted greyed out, unable to open

When I open the Libre Office main menu I see Base is muted grey and unavailable.

I am currently running Libre Office Version: 6.4.7.2 Build ID: 1:6.4.7-0ubuntu0.20.04.6 on Linux Ubuntu 20.04.

Please advise.

Hello,
The LibreOffice which comes with Ubuntu 20.04 (and many other Linux distros) does not include Base in the default package. You can install it from the Software Boutique (possibly Software-Center for 20.04).

I found it in the Software-Center by looking for “libreoffice-base”. Other search terms don’t pull it up. The search feature of the Software-Center is incredibly poor. I read on debugpoint.com that one could also use:

sudo apt install libreoffice-base
