Base User's Guide

I am using Base, Help - About LibreOffice - says version 26.2. Yet when I go to English documentation | LibreOffice Documentation - LibreOffice User Guides to get a user’s guide the latest version I see is 7.3 When I checked Help - About LibreOffice, is that not the Base version? It seems hard to believe that the most current user’s manual is that far behind the current version.

Much of the English user guide version 7.3 is a translated German Base Handbuch. You could get newer German Base Handbuch here: German Handbuch. Newest version I uploaded there is 25.8.
.
Note: There hasn’t been changed much in LO Base. Last change had been made for LO 25.8 (automatically save for Firebird). All other behavior is the same in LO 7.3 as it is in LO 25.8

The short answer: LibreOffice changed how they name their versions in 2024, and the Documentation Team (who are volunteers) typically focuses on the core features that haven’t changed much in the “Base” application for several years.

it may move a bit more or less shortly :

I see it looks like they want to improve the interface with Firebird. I use PostgreSQL so that may not help me. I guess I will get a copy of the latest user guide and go with that. That string had some good info - thanks for sharing it.
