Big problem with Image 1 in Libre Office

I was attempting to put a title on a cover for a chapbook. I tried everything possible under Libre Office. I know it can be done I did it before but don’t remember how. I went to “Insert” and under it I clicked Image and wound with “Image 1” listed in the corner and the cover gone.
I can’t recover my cover on this or any copies all the darn Image 1 which I have cursed with every word I know. I can’t undo the darn thing won’t disappear and my great cover is gone.

Before I get suicidal please help.

Not sure to understand all you have wrote.
Have you tried menu View - Images and Charts?
Can you share the first pages of your document? At least a screenshot of the cover.

Leroy, thanks very very much for your kind concern.
I was about to try to reply when I went back and fooled around with the one image I had in “recent documents with the cover”
Before I couldn’t do anything with it but suddenly I did something, the Compter Gods alone know what and I was able to save it and then I save another copy.
Now I need to figure out how to get my title for the poetry chapbook, The Handwriting on the Wall on the cover.
I’ve spent hours on this and the damning part as I said is that I did it before and an EBook.
