blank menu, dropdown menu, no text, blank windows

Hi,
I have a problem with LibreOffice Writer ver. 6.3 and higher. I open document, writing on it, copy from another document text and I suddenly find that the dropdown menus are blank. Clicking on, for instance, “File” causes the usual background for the menu of actions (New, Open, Open Remote File, etc) to drop down as usual, but there are no actions displayed. When I try save document appearing blank windows with no option, but when I try click in place where usual is situated button save it work. Blank menu = text is not visible. It happens in many computers in my company a specially in computers where is installed Win 8.1.
The documents which are editing were creating in various program MS Office World or Open Office Writer or in LiberOffice.
Problem not appear when I create new document, but if I tray copy to it text or something from another document its happen….
Install newer version of LibraOffice not help, delete and create new user profile as well not help….
Any ideas?

LibreOffice < Version 7.0

If set, try to disable OpenGL in Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice -> View -> Category: Graphics Output -> Option: [ ] Use OpenGL for all rendering and check whether that fixes your problem.

LibreOffice >= Version 7.0 on Windows

If set, try to disable Skia in Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice -> View -> Category: Graphics Output -> Option: [ ] Use Skia for all rendering and check whether that fixes your problem

It not help :frowning: I think it can be caused by some Windows update…

Thank you, the second option worked for me

disable Skia in Tools -> Options -> LibreOffice -> View -> Category: Graphics Output -> Option: [ ] Use Skia for all rendering

It took me a bit of searching to find this thread… I’ve been dealing with intermittent non-rendering of the menus in LibreOffice Calc.

The second option provided was the solution to my issue but it was a bit of blind search to find the correct row in the blank Tools menu to click. It took a bit of trial and error to work out what keyboard and/or mouse actions were needed to get the needed view to render after clicking on the View selection…

For anyone else, start LibreOffice in safe mode: launch it from the command line with libreoffice --safe-mode or use the start menu entry LibreOffice (Safe Mode) on Windows

When you get the first screen, tick the option button to disable hardware acceleration and restart LibreOffice.

LibreOffice will start just once with hardware acceleration disabled so go to Tools - Options - LibreOffice - View and tick the box Force Skia software rendering, OK.

LibreOffice will ask to restart, allow it. If the problem still exists then disable Skia entirely
