Boolean Values in Calc transfered to Base

I created a column in a spreadsheet where I entered Y for Yes, and N for No. Then I used the spreadsheet to create a table in Base. I changed the Field Type in bass to Boolean and created the table. Yahoo! Everything looks good except that the N’s and the Y’s transferred instead of check boxes. So, how does base read yes or no. Should I enter 1 for yes, and zero for no in order to get the check boxes?

Yes, but have a look at the field properties for this fields. If the table isn’t created the automatic created field might be DOUBLE instead. If you have created the table first and entered the data later it will work.
