So I had a column of decimals in the 0.00 format, copied from an Excel sheet and I wanted to convert it to percentage format, i.e. 00%, which I have been able to do the last time I tried a year ago. This time, I changed it in the cell format from decimal to percentage and nothing happened, even though it showed that the column was switched to a percentage format. After trying all kinds of ways to make it work, I finally found a way: I did a find and replace function, so that every time it found a “0” it would replace it with a “0” and after performing that find and replace all function, the entire column converted to percentages. Not sure why that worked, but I thought it might help others who are hitting their head on the wall…
O problema era simples, os números vistos na planilha, não eram números, estavam em formato de texto. Sobre a alteração de “0” para “0”, de alguma maneira foi trocada a formação para numero.
The problem was simple, the numbers seen in the spreadsheet were not numbers, they were in text format. Regarding the change from “0” to “0”, somehow the format was changed to numbers.
