Calc Conditional Formatting: "is in bottom N percent"

I’m having trouble finding out where to enter the “N” value in the conditional format options for “Cell value”. The options are things like “is in bottom N percent” and “is in top N elements”. I didn’t see any documentation or usage examples in the LibreOffice documentation and in a quick Google search.

Could someone give me an example of how to use this or where I can enter the value? I’m using LibreOffice version 7.2.6.2.

Thanks!

Values are percents (100 for 100%).

elements (1 for 1 element, 2 for 2 elements, etc.).

That helps to clarify, thank you! Along with mikekaaganski’s answer it makes perfect sense!
