Calc crashes when importing table from Base

Hello,

I’m having some trouble today. I created an inventory database and I’m trying to export one of my tables to Calc. As soon as I start to drag the table into the spreadsheet all of LibreOffice instantly crashes and I get a message about documents being recoverable.

Any thoughts on what might be happening?

I’m running Ubuntu 18.04LTS and I don’t want to upgrade to 20.04 because my printer and scanner won’t work with it.
I’m running LibreOffice 7.1.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Joe

Please test with a clean profile, Menu/Help/Restart in Safe Mode

May be bug tdf#139447 Crash when dragging a query or table from “Data Sources Explorer” window to a calc sheet. - though this bug is not yet confirmed.

No problem on Ubuntu 20.04 using LO v 7.1.1.2 (from TDF)

RE: m.a.riosv: I tried it in safe mode and the same thing happened. It doesn’t give an error code in the window, it just says “Due to and Error”.

RE: Opaque: I believe you are correct, it seems like they’re describing my exact problem.

Thank you both!

Interestingly I tried to restart and had an awful time because my video driver reset to default and I had to stumble around at some terrible resolution. Perhaps it’s related to the video driver. I tried on my laptop (same os but an Intel video card instead of Nvidia) and it works fine. So for now that is my workaround, switching to the laptop. I’ll keep an eye on that thread, thanks Opaque!

I have got the same (LO 7.1.1.2), LO 7.0.5 it is O.K. LO Calc and Writer crash when dragging table from data source left window (tree), when dragging from right window (table contents) it is O.K.
