Use numerical pad the full stop is comma
Use numbers from numerical pad and full stop from alphabetical pad Calc is label.
Use numbers from numerical pad and comma from alphabetical pad Calc is number.
How to fix this?

Choose Tools - Options… - Language Settings - Languages and see Decimal separator key.

It might be worth checking if your Locale officially uses a comma as decimal separator. There was a question a while back where the poster did not realise that South Africa officially uses a comma, despite common use of a full stop. Wikipedia Decimal separator
