If more than one cell has been selected in Calc I can easily drag those cells to new positions - but of only one cell has been selected I can’t.
I’ve tried holding the control button while clicking/dragging with the mouse - it doesn’t work.
Like I said - if more than one cell has been selected I can easily drag those cells with the mouse to a new location.
Why?
Okay, I figured it out (I believe).
After clicking on the single cell, you then hold the shift key while clicking that same cell again. The background of the cell changes color - after that you can drag that cell to its new location using the mouse.
I don’t know why the extra step isn’t needed when more than one cell has been selected. But that’s what threw me off. It’s like a different procedure for the case of one cell vs multiple cells.
Ctrl+Click the cell before dragging.
That totally doesn’t work for me. Cell cannot be dragged using Ctrl+Click. Selecting the cell to be moved first and then Shift + Click that same cell allows the cell to be dragged by the mouse.
