Ascension Day is forty days after Easter sunday. In Finland Easter sunday is 5.4.2026 and Ascension Day 14.5.2026. If I use Calc it gives me 5.4.2026 + 40 = 15.5.2026
But the 15th is a Thursday and Ascension Day is a Thursday, see Ascension of Jesus - Wikipedia sorry just spotted I had the wrong year.
Ascension day is the fortieth day, not forty days later. If you enter 2026-04-05 in cell A1 and drag down to row 40, you get 2026-05-14.
Calc is calculating dates wrong
Lol. So you have some claims (each of which need some confirmation), and you choose the least plausible cause for what you see.
You could have a test, putting 2026-04-05 to A1, and have 40 cells below, each having formula like =$A$1 + 1, =$A$1 + 2, … =$A$1 + 40 - and try to find an error in it (a hint: there is none). So your future steps will include: acknowledging that “Calc does not calculate dates wrong”; checking if it is correct that “Ascension Day is forty days after Easter sunday” (not e.g. that it is 39 days after Easter Sunday, which actually is the true statement; the Ascension Day is in fact the fortieth day of Easter, meaning the difference between it and the first day of it (which is the Easter Sunday) is 40 - 1 = 39).
