Calc - Open spreadsheet from folder won't save

If I open a .xlsx spreadsheet in calc by double clicking the file in a folder, modify the file, then save, the file will not save. I get the following message: Error saving the document xxx General Error. General input/output error. I don’t get the error if working on a .odf file.

If I reboot and open calc by selecting Menu > Office > LibreOffice Calc then open the .xlsx file through the calc menu it will save as expected. If I don’t reboot before following these steps, I receive the same error message as above.

I have a work around, but I believe this issue is a bug.

It may be a bug but your version, 7.4, is extremely old and won’t receive any attention anymore. I suggest that you upgrade to the latest release and check again if you face the same issue.

I’m running on Raspberry Pi (Linux) Bookworm, 32-bit, so I’m pretty much tied to the packages they release.

I didn’t realize how far behind the Pi package is until I saw your comment.
