Calc: Problem with Freezing First Row

Freezing the first row in a spreadsheet tab (i.e., View > Freeze Cells > Freeze First Row) works fine – mostly. I always do this for every tab in a spreadsheet and even have it mandated in a Template. However, sometimes while working in a spreadsheet the freezing of the first row in all the tabs disappears, and I have to manually re-establish the setting. I have been using Calc for years (currently at 7.6.4.1) and have never discovered what causes this to happen.

Any help with this problem will be much appreciated.

Yes sir, it may well be. I quite regularly perform the actions mentioned in the bug report, but – to my embarrassment – I have never noticed the connection between these actions and the disappearance of the freeze. I shall pay careful attention over the next few days and endeavor to catalog my experiences. I’ll get back to you with a report of what I find.
