CALC Protected cell, then protected sheet. Fat fingered password

Hey Gang:

I have a spreadsheet. I PROTECTED a specific cell while the others could be changed. Then under TOOLS, I highlighted PROTECT SHEET and entered the password.

Turns out that I “fat fingered” the entry. I tried about 40+ combinations, none of which worked.

How do I get around this this issue???

Luckily the sheet protection is just a child-proof lock. Open the file with a zip program and find table:protected="true" in content.xml. Replace “true” with “false”, save the modified file, refresh the zip archive.
