Calc: Spin buttons disappeared upon reopening, saved as xlsx

I created a spreadsheet with 285 spin buttons and painstakingly (half-joking) configured them all. I saved the sheet as xlsx to send to my colleagues. Today I opened it to make a correction and all of the spin buttons are gone. Could they be hidden somewhere, or maybe the xlsx translator doesn’t do spin buttons? Thank you!

I guess that LibreOffice cannot create the proprietary Active X controls that Excel uses.

It is not clear to me what kind of object you mean by “spin button”. Please attach a spreadsheet which has such “spin button”. Do not save to xlsx but save to ods.
