Calc spreadsheet which previously worked fine now opens without use of its password. Cannot reinstall the password. Other Libre docs and spreadsheets working fine. PC using Windows 10, version 22H2.
To add a password again, use the menu option “Save As…”, give the same name and don’t forget to click the option “Save with password”. You will then get prompted.
The disappearance of the password is strange. I can only think that you once saved it with “Save As” and unselected the option “Save with password”. Is the file saved with the .ods format?
Ah! So just doing file-properties-security is not enough. The online guidance should be corrected.
Did as you asked and it worked. Thank You. I have no idea why the password stopped working. Doubt that I or my wife would have done a save as unnecessarily, or changed the password option. It is a mystery.
