I have a blog and want to write for my users explaining how to use spredsheet and using it on libreoffice calc. I will write step by step way to do each operation. I will need to show screenshots from my laptop of libreoffice calc. On net i have find many a times that i can’t use those screenshots because they might be copyright voilation. I have also not find any document on your site explaning how to use screenshot of your libreoffce calc product. So i am asking you whether i can do that or not?
I need only 6-7 sccreenshots in total. I hope you will reply soon.
You ofcourse can use screenshot with LibreOffice GUI in your blog. It will be not violation of LibreOffice license .
I have blog about LibreOffice too and I have made many screenshots =)
By the way, if you found something about illegallity of using screenshots of LibreOffice, please tell us where are those wrong statements are,so we could try to correctthe confusion.
No no they said about programs and apps in general, they don’t name libreoffice in particular but only said using screenshots of ingame action, program / app or operating system is considred copyright voilation as the content / program / os is the property of respective company. And same statemnet has been found on many website and blogs even quora when i search for the term " is using screenshots of excel / spredsheet application copyright" on google.
