Can’t install extension - file does not exist

When I try to install an extension, either by double-clicking on it or opening from the extension manager, I get a message telling me the file does not exist in a particular LO folder (not the folder the extension is being installed from).

I have got around this by manually copying the file to the location mentioned, but it would be nice if I could get LO to just install extensions normally.

The extension files are on a network drive, but copying them to a local disk makes no difference.

Example message:

Cuir Eisínteacht(aí) Leis: [Add Extension(s):]
Níl /home/sean/.config/libreoffice/4/user/uno_packages/cache/-uno_packages/lu666699x1hmv.tmp_/focloir-gaeilge-5-0.oxt ann. [i.e. that file does not exist]
                                  OK

OS: Manjaro
LO: 7.1.2.2

It may be the same as that one: I can’t add Read Text Extension.

It would be useful if you included the information in your answer too.

Renaming ~/.config/libreoffice/4/user/uno_packages/cache allowed the installation to start, but also removed all other user extensions, so I suggest either making a list or only doing a rename at first so that you know what you will need to reinstall.

Since you still have the former one, you may be able to retrieve some of the extensions by copying back their folders. Haven’t tried such operation with extensions myself.
