Can templates be viewed as a list and not icons?

When I choose New-From Template I get my templates in an icon view, is there a way to see them as a list? I gave so many that the search is cumbersome

Assuming you mean this tempalte view

No. There does not seem to be a way to change the preview into a list … as most filemanager would allow,

You could take a look here here: https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/

and search if such a feature request exists or open one if not and see how it is received.

Hope that helps.

The question has been answered, thank you, but I do not see where to put in the check for “correct answer”

Nver mind, I found it, it was well camouflaged under the Up/Down votes

Thanks. And yes, the checkmark icon is places a bit inconviniently.

If the templates are stored in the default location, you can set a link to that folder by the means of your OS.
Having opened that link you find your templates listed the way your OS does it. If you activate a template using your OS, LibreOffice should create a new (Untitlled) document based on that template.

Generally the template folder is a direct (first level) subfolder of your user profile and named template.

The templates are stored in the default location (C:\Users"Username"\AppData\Roaming\LibreOffice\4\user\template) and the OS sees them as a list, but Libre Office displayse them as icons. They do function properly it is just the view I want to change

This is what I understood, However, I don’t know a way to get Libreoffice to offer the list. A simple link can.
