Cannot change primary email address on account

I’m trying to manage my ask.libreoffice.org account.
I have a login at user.documentfoundation.org.
I’ve added a second email address, and I want to make it the primary so I can delete the original primary email address.
I cannot advance past the screen shown in the referenced screen grab.

Also, I don’t understand the Linked Profiles. I don’t understand why Bugzilla appears; I have a separate login at
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/

I’m not sure, but it looks as if it is impossible to change the email address. IMHO, you have to create a new account on auth.documentfoundation.org.

Thanks…

Actually, I finally managed to change it.

Despite documentation to the contrary, which indicates that one cannot change the primary email address without adding a secondary email address, I was (finally) able to edit the box containing the primary email address.

After giving my feedback, I was mysteriously able to change the primary email address today.
Someone must have changed something on the server, 'cause I couldn’t do this before.
Of course, they’re not telling…

How exactly?

I just clicked in the text box showing my “primary” email address. And this time (unlike all the other times I tried in the past several months), I was able to type in the preferred email address.

Previously, I could not even make the text box “active” by clicking in it. It appeared to be “read only” despite my trying using three different browsers…

I have no information on what might have changed in the server software. I guess you’d have to inquire with those who maintain it… whoever they are…

FindTheExpert - The Document Foundation Wiki

The so-called “friendly experts” have proven to be not so friendly… no response whatsoever…

since June who knows what was sent to them, and actually received …

Anywayz, concerning your concerns, the friendly doc is probably here : Single sign-on (SSO) - The Document Foundation Wiki
and some friendly support may be friendly reached thru Internet Relay Chat - The Document Foundation Wiki #tdf-infra

So amusing…

From this page:
https://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Infra/SingleSignOn

Known Services

  • Bugzilla (SSO connected, but needs a separate account)

Such a “friendly” document…

sure. so very.

on the other hand, LO being somehow a collaborative approach, open source, etc …,
feel free to get familiar with the friendly real life details,
e.g. https://community.documentfoundation.org/t/decision-approve-usd-10-800-for-performing-the-upstream-bugzilla-6-0-release/12942
and get involved: Infrastructure | LibreOffice - Free and private office suite - Based on OpenOffice - Compatible with Microsoft
which might be a bit less amusing, but could be benefitial for all of us

Every post on this topic that I have seen has been misleading in one way or another. I made the mistake of creating a new account. I did that because all the so-called solutions said I had to go to the ‘sign-up page.’ That advice is incorrect.

However, in one message from the Document Foundation, I noticed a link to an Edit page. The message text was this:

You can further configure your account at
https://user.documentfoundation.org/edit

And that is the correct solution. Visit this Document Foundation edit page. You will need to log in. You are not signing up. What you will see after you log in is a simple form to edit your account.
