Cannot print Calc sheets

I have a Calc document with 8 “sheets”. I’ve used this document for several years without any printing issues…(as recently as a month ago). Now, the print dialogue window shows an empty document (screenshot attached). I have also tried to print text in a Writer document – same result.

Only when I restart in Safe Mode and click on “Continue in Safe Mode” can I print the document. As soon as I quit Libreoffice and restart in normal mode, the ability to print the document is gone. I can also produce a PDF file of the entire Calc document at any time by clicking on the “Export Directly as PDF” icon in the menubar and this PDF file can be printed.

I’m assuming there is some kind of corruption associated with my User configuration, but I am unable to resolve it. I’ve tried restarting in Safe Mode several times and each time trying a different option. My last attempt was to restart with a Reset to Factory Settings. None of these Safe modes resets solved the problem.

I would appreciate any help offered. (Note that I have reviewed most of the related questions asked by others in this forum but did not see any clue that might apply to my issue.)

I’m using a Apple Macbook Air M1. It is connected via a USB cable to a current model Canon TR7020 inkjet printer. I have no printing issues with any other software… only with LibreOffice.

I think this https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=146842 reported bug.
Disabling Skia in LibreOffice/View options seems to solve the issue.

Thanks. I think you meant disabling “Use Skia for all rendering” in View/Options in Libreoffice Preferences. Doing that worked. I hope this bug is still on the “To Fix” list. It is certainly active on my computer with Mac OS 12.2.1

For those users like me who only use LO occasionally, it helps to be really specific and not assume we understand all the abbreviations used in this forum.
