Cannot run portable version of LibreOffice from C:\Program Files (x86)\Something

Hi,

libre office cannot be run from C:\Program Files (x86)\Something location. I’m using portable version.

Other portable programs run fine from this location, it’s some kind of switch inside of LibreOffice.

“LibreOffice Portable cannot be run from inside C:\Program Files (x86). This location is for standart local software only. Please use this application from another location.”

I set full control for my user so there should be no problems with rights and privileges. Any idea how to solve it ?

This is a check not by LibreOffice, but by PortableApps. See a similar warning for a different PortableApps release. You likely need to ask them.

Note that the warning is quite logical. You try to run a portable application - which is supposed to keep its settings in the same directory where its program files are kept - because the settings should be portable along with the program itself, wherever you take it to. But Program Files is a system folder that is protected by OS,and you can’t store user data there.
