There are a couple of ways to remove the line if it is the Horizontal Line:
Near some text? Could it be a paragraph border?
In the middle of the page?
Hard to guess withou seeing.
Is a line inserted with menu Horizontal line?
Is this line inserted near the TOC?
The usual way to erase a line is to place in the paragraph before the line and use the Supr
key.
If this Horizontal line is just after the Table of Contents, you must unprotect the TOC before to delete the line.
The Del key (in English keyboards).
