Can't delete or insert rows whether sheet protection is on or off

Starting yesterday, Calc is not allowing me to insert or delete rows or columns in any of my previously working spreadsheets. Either the buttons are greyed out, or when I click them I get an error reading “Protected cells can’t be modified”.

I had not turned on protection, or protected any cells in these sheets - at least not on purpose. Nothing I’ve tried related to toggling protection has worked (single sheets, all sheets in the same file, selected rows). I get this message whether the Tools > Protect sheet… is checked or not. Even on new sheets, those which I’m able to insert or delete rows with no trouble, when I open Tools > Protect sheet … and uncheck the "Protect this sheet and … " option, the OK button greys out, so I can’t save the change.

This morning I updated to 7.6.0.3, but that has not helped. These are native Calc sheets, not converted Excel sheets. I can’t discover which cells Calc considers to be protected. I’ve turned on Value Highlighting, but no cells appear to have the light grey background described in help documentation.

When you change a cell, it has a red border, if YES, check if the recording of changes is activated.
In Menu Edit / Track changes / Record

menu:Tools>Macros>Organize>Basic…
Scroll down and double-click “Application Macros”, then “Tools”, “Misc” and “Unprotect Sheets”

Recording is not activated.

Tried menu:Tools>Macros>Organize>Basic…, but this did not work.

Would it be possible to post a file with this problem?

.

The file is on the network, if YES, it could be open on another machine.

My network only include two devices, and I’m only opening files on my desktop.

An update to the problem: I can insert and delete columns. Only blocked from inserting or deleting rows. I tried selecting every column that currently has content, hoping to track down which cells are causing the problem, but I was able to select every column and could see the insert/delete buttons, which worked on every column I tried.

Test file showing the problem attached, I hope.

I found the following, if I delete the BU columns to the end, the color formatting of lines 1 and 2 is also deleted.

I’ll keep searching.

Ok I think I found the problem, in the BR and BS columns, between lines 5 and 16, there is a matrix formula. This type of formula does not allow changes in its structure. Put this summary below the edit lines.

Changed file follows.
