Why is it all of the sudden I cannot double click on the document to open? When I do double click, it comes up with a dialogue box that shows previous opened documents…which I suppose it ok, but sometimes the one I’ve clicked I have to search for. And when I do “Open With”…same thing. This is a relatively new issue. This happens with all of the Libre Office files I use (odt, ods).
This is a function of your operating system, the type and version of which you have forgotten to mention.
Apple MacBook Air (2022). Sequoia 15.6.1
I will add proper tags, as this is not related to “base”. Maybe we can attract the Mac-users…
Thanks. Oddly enough…when I do “Open With”…it works just fine for version 7.4.4.2, but not for 25.8.2.2, 24.8.0.3, 7.5.7.1…all of which I have on my computer. Perhaps the problem is I have too many versions!
Thanks!!! I followed the directions and I can now double-click and it will open with version 7.4.4.2…which I don’t guess is an issue (although I suppose it would be nice to be able to do that with the most current version).
Perhaps in step 4 in the ‘Permanently change’ section of the link, you could choose the latest version of LO instead of 7.4.4.2
Tried that…no joy.
