Can't get libre calc to print on 1 page

Using libreoffice 7.6. I have a sheet that is longer vertically than one page, and I am trying to force it onto only one page. I’ve run through a couple tutorials and can’t get it to work; I assume I’m missing something. No matter what I do, some cells are cut off at the bottom and are printed on a second page. I note that for some reason the first page printout has a larger top and bottom margin than what I have set; all are set to .25 inch.

I have tried selecting the items to pint, then Format - Print Ranges - Define, go back in to Format - Print Ranges - Edit and confirm that it shows my selection correctly. If I print preview, it shows the items spilling over onto a second page. Then Format - Page Style - Sheet - Scaling mode - Shrink print ranges to width/height - Width in pages 1 - Height in pages 1. (Also tried Shrink Print range on number of pages - 1, with the same results.)

Headers and footers are turned off. Print Preview - it looks exactly like it did before, spilling over to a second page.

What am I doing wrong?

Not sharing the file, so nobody can check.

IMHO this is no place to resize cells. You select wich area is to be printed, not how.

Please have a look at:

Page and printer setup in Calc

Thank you. I started working through that site and realized that I had not checked for page breaks (the file previously had printed on one page, but I couldn’t remember what I had done to accomplish that). Went to View-Page Break and found there was a page break right where the page kept splitting. Not sure how that got added but once I moved the page break to the bottom of the table, I was able to print the entire thing on one page. That solved it for me.

Sorry, couldn’t share the file with the data intact, and didn’t get it modified before another answer was posted that allowed me to fix it. I was not trying to resize cells, sorry about the lack of clarity of my post.
