I looked for previous answers but they go back to 2020, so…
I installed the extra pack for LibreOffice help. When I click on Help in word and Calc, it still automatically opens a browser. I have Windows 11, if that help.
Thank you,

So does “2020” scare you? Did you even try to read those “ancient” answers, or just decided to ask without checking? What was true then, is still true now. And the answers from then already explain, that help is always shown in browser, including local help.
Documentation/Help - The Document Foundation Wiki
The LibreOffice Help underwent a radical change since version 6.1 and is now displayed in the system browser.
Wow - I thought being courteous to people here was a thing - my mistake. I figured that there may have been system updates since then so it would be a good idea to get info that was current. Clearly that scares you.
Usually not. But the idea, that every user needs a personal confirmation, when they can’t directly see a new date would lead to auto-updates of all dates (not information) when user count is higher than 3, if I am concerned.
I didn’t realize that. I’ll keep that in mind for future reference. Thank you!
The offline help also opens in a browser. Look at the address bar; if the address starts with file:// then you are using local help.
Of course you need to have downloaded a version of Help that matches your LO version.
I did get the correct version - I made sure of that.
And I looked at the browser - it does indeed start with file!
Thank you so much!
