I would like to recover a file from tools/options/libreoffice/path/backup but it is listed in light gray (but with a dark blue icon in front of the listing. Does the fact that its listing is in light gray mean it is gone and can’t be retrieved? Or is there a special way to open it?
This function is for set/change the Path of the Backup directory. You need a third party file manager for managing the files located inthe Backup directory.
The selected backup folder exists on my Linux system and contains files that can be opened with LibreOffice.
Using your file manager, go to the folder in the path set in tools/options/libreoffice/path/backup. Copy the file of the same name but with extension .bak to a working folder. Open LibreOffice, then open the copied file from there and Save As a different name.
