Cell Formula not being copied (or maybe pasted into new cell)

Hi
I’ve tried the following:
Typed 2 into B4, =B4 into cell C4,
C4 Displays 2 and the input line =B4,
Highlight cell C4,
use CTL-C to copy,
use down arrow to move to lower cell,
use CTL-V to paste,
new cell only shows value of C4 not the formula ?
or CTL-Shift-V Paste special window opens showing unkown source

I’ve deleted the user config and turned off clipboard
I’m using Libreoffice 4.0[build 305] on Opensuse 12.3

Any help appriciated.

This is not the answer @chrisfudge looks for but can help to encircle the issue. In Libo4.0.5.2 on XP/SP3 the procedure described by chrisfudge gives the right results.
