Just starting using Libra office on Mac and I’m trying to change the default font that the application is using. I don’t mean just for typing, I mean for pasting text… whenever I paste tex from anywhere it puts everything in helvetica, that’s the setting I need to change please.
To change the default template for Libreoffice writer, follow the instructions in the help. Briefly, open the Style Manager using Styles > Manage Styles or F11. Change the Default Paragraph Style Font as needed and save the document as a template and mark it as the Default.

To see where Templates are stored on your system, Tools > Options > Paths > Templates.
When you paste, right-click and select Paste Special > Unformatted Text.
