Is there any way to change the default sort options? I almost always need to sort with column labels, but the default is not “Range contains column labels”
Hi @Skinnerbird,
Good question. I looked for an enhancement request in the bug tracker, but I didn’t see anything at first glance.
Do the default sort options persist in a given document? If so, maybe a template could be helpful for you.
@Skinnerbird - What version of LibreOffice are you using? I tested with 4.0.1 and once Range contains column labels is checked it’s persistent, even after LibreOffice is closed and reopened.
I’m on
Version: 4.3.2.2.0+
Build ID: 430m0(Build:2)
“Range contains column labels” checked is not persistent for me. I also tried finding the option in the profile, without success.
Adding a range definition (e.g., All for the entire sheet) works, but then the definition is persistent across all sheets, so trying to sort another sheet fails again. There needs to be a way to change the default action to Range contains column labels
To save the sort options, there is needed to define the range in Menu/Data/Define.
After selecting on Menu/Data/Selecting or selecting a cell in the range, retrieve the sort options defined for that range.
How is this a solution? The solution has more steps than the problem was trying to avoid?
