I want to change the default font. I’ve checked this forum and have seen the answer previously given; however, the instructions given don’t match my situation. For instance, the answer is to go to Tools > Options > LibreOffice Writer… Well, I have NO “Options” under the Tools menu. So what do I do? I see also there is the choice to create a new template and set that as the “default”; is that the way I have to proceed? Thanks for any assistance!
Tools > Options indeed doesn’t exist on Mac. Just click “LibreOffice” in the menu (on the left) and then “Preferences”.

Can you make a screenshot of the menu?
Instead of a screenshot you can follow these steps
Open Writer
Open Tools / Options
click LibreOffice Writer
click Basic Fonts (Western) and make your choice there.
True… but as I notice in his question he wrote that he have no options under tools menu…

Hard to understand instructions which is nothing new. Why is the subject closed? I’m still having problems solving this issue in May, 2021
