Changed theme to "Sifr" and cannot change back

I was switching through the themes. After selecting the theme “Sifr,” I cannot change back to any other theme.

The same issue was reported here, but unfortunately, I don’t understand the solution and cannot find any more information on the theme location.

Below is a screenshot of the “View” menu. I cannot enable hardware acceleration either.

I’m on MacOS 15.3.1, LibreOffice 25.2.2

and this one Dark Mode Text is Black - Can't Change? - #12 by EarnestAl ?

Dark mode works fine (for me at least), and I can switch to other themes. It’s just the “Sifr” theme that causes problems so I suspect it’s a different bug.

I reset my settings and now everything’s back to normal. It’s still weird though.

Sifr is a high contrast icon theme.

If you have

  • High Contrast set in the operating system and in LibreOffice > Preferences > LibreOffice > Accessibility High Contrast is set to Automatic
    Or
  • In LibreOffice > Preferences > LibreOffice > Accessibility High Contrast is set to Enable

Then you will get Sifr, regardless of what you have chosen in the icon theme

If you want high contrast for everything except LibreOffice, then in LibreOffice > Preferences > LibreOffice > Accessibility set High Contrast to Disable.

You will probably need to restart LibreOffice to see the change in settings.
