I recently updated to the latest version of Libreoffice and have found that in the Writer program, when I go to compress an image it no longer retains the compression option I had previously selected like it used to. It now always defaults to a jpeg quality of 80. Is there any way in which this can be made to remember the settings I use for the document? Thanks.
This was fixed in 7.4.0.0 in 146929 – Compression settings for images should remember user's choice but if it no longer remembers the choice then you should file a regression bug, see How to Report Bugs in LibreOffice - The Document Foundation Wiki
