Changing records in base form takes 13 seconds. Slow

Here is a link to LANdpLAN database.

Open the form “4)What plants will grow and where will they go? The Design” and see how long it takes to change records in the ‘4. how many and where do they go?’ table on the right.

For me it takes 13 seconds and I think this is unpractical.
I’m using LO 7.0.1.2 and Oracle Corporation 1.8.0-_251 JRE on Fossapup puppy linux on a usb stick.

Thanks for helping.

trying to edit some strings and listbox values, I can not confirm the huge lag on my Linux box with LO 24.2 and Java11. Your database has a fragmentation issue. Run shutdown compact in the SQL window, close and reopen the file. The data file shrinks from 200 MB to 50.
In the relations window you display all those tables without connecting them. Connecting the tables according to their relations will add indices to the foreign keys which improves database performance.
