Characters (often 'c') or blanks are edited to the text without typing

i couldn’t find any problem reported similar:
While using Libre Office Writer, I encounter that often letter c or even a blank sign is edited to my text although I’m not typing or performing any action in that moment. I assume this happens whenever the system performs an automatic save in the background, but cannot garantee.

How can this be stopped please?
If any information about my system is necesary, I will be happy to provide, otherwise so far: Laptop Lenovo IDEAPAD 3i 15AU7, Windows 11 25H2, all updates current at the moment.

Is your keyboard clean? Often dust or other unintended bits (tobacco, breadcrumb, liquid, plush, …) can disturb key mechanism resulting in false activation. Also even a sheet of paper covering the keyboard, though very light, can trigger false typing.

If it occurs always with the same keys, I’d suspect a mechanical or electrical issue. Note that C and Space are close together. This suggests to look there under the keys.

Just to be complete, exact LO version, like 26.2.5.2?

I can check the keys, but now performed just an update of LO version to 26.2.5.2 two minutes ago. Let’s see if this will solve the problem.

Hi there,
updating LO was not the final solution.
It seem to be due to an so called ‘.dll’-error: I had to perform command ‘sfc/scannow’ as an admin on my laptop in the command edit, the system was scanned, I received the output that one file was damaged and repaired.

As other systems seem to work odd, too, I now hope to have solved the basic problem.
