Comment highlight disapears when pasting sometimes

When copy pasting text containing comments within the same document, as long as the original text has not since been deleted, the highlight that corresponds to the comment box is copied fine. If the original comment has been deleted, or if it has pasted into a new document entirely, there is no longer a highlight. The dotted line still lines up the the end of where the highlight should have been, but nothing else. The broader that shows up when you hover over the comment box also doesn’t appear either.

I think this is a semi-recent thing? Because I used to do so a lot before I recently updated (i’m on 26.2), and all of the copied old documents still have their highlights. If there’s a way to keep the highlight when copying, that would be appreciated as I would like to avoid re-doing all of my comments.

So apparently if you delete the text containing the comment, then undo the deletion, the highlight just appears? Doesn’t work if you undo then redo the initial paste, or delete the comment itself, but yeah. I guess this is a solution? Weird bug though.
