I’m experimenting with document compare, trying to figure it out. I made a simple doc, then copied it exactly, opened it and made some changes then fired up Compare Document. It showed the changes alright. Very strangely ‘Reject’ seemed to accept and ‘Accept’ seemed to reject, which is puzzling. Anyway, not sure what I did, but as I continued to experiment, at some point the comparison became whole paragraphs – take it or leave it. What did I do? How do I get individual changes back? I quit LO and restarted but it remained paragraph based.

I redid the experiment … back to single changes, and now I can’t get it back to paragraph mode, not that I want it, but still I’m curious what happened. Can the Accept/Reject logic be reversed? I consider the edited version to be secondary, and my preference would be that changes are accepted or rejected, not that the changes are presumed correct … if that makes sense. Like reversing the onus … if that’s possible. If not I just get used to Accept meaning reject and visa versa.
