Hello,
I am browsing since days now, maybe I don’t know what to look for, but I am unable to find a way to connect my calc spreadsheet to a MySQL database that I have created.
I would like to avoid using base and connecting directly to my online SQL database, but I don’t see how.
This is something that needs to be used by another person, not me, so ideally they should connect seamlessly to the database, whenever running the file in calc.
Could anyone help me, please?

Hi,
Getting MySQL database information into Calc requires the use of Base. Base is used to make the actual connection to the database. See Chapter 2 Creating a Database in the Base handbook for connection information - click here.
Once the connection is established, whatever tables or queries are available in Base can be available in other LO products such as Calc or Writer. This is done by registering the Database in LO. You can see more on this in the Calc guide Chapter 10 Linking Calc data - click here.
