Conversion of .odt files created on PC to Iworks Pages files

I am going from a PC to a Macbook. All my text files are in LibreOffice .odt format. I will be moving the files over via a USB drive. How can I convert the PC made .odt files so that iWorks pages will read them? Is this even possible?

Have you considered installing LibreOffice? LibreOffice for Android and iOS | LibreOffice - Free Office Suite - Based on OpenOffice - Compatible with Microsoft

If I have to use LibreOffice for the Mac to get to my files I will, but I would like to convert files to iWorks just to use it. (been a long time) If I go LibreOffice on the MacBook, that will be question number two: How to convert .odt files from PC to Mac or is it automatic as you open a transferred file?

Question 1
Copy over some files of different types. odt, doc, docx, and try opening them in iWorks. Remember that odf is an open format and can be read by many other word processors. I guess that iWorks is proprietory and might not be easily convertable to another format in the future.

Question 2
The odt file is the same file. It might be stored differently but that is handled by the operating system.
