I have some ppt and doc files which are corrupted and when i open it in windows machine ms office first repair the file then open it. I want to convert such a files in linux machine using libreoffice . I am looking for any method or tool which will help to repair these files and I will be ale to convert these files into pdf.
“corrupted” tells nothing. There are infinite ways a file may be corrupted; that unspecified corruption can cause infinite variety of consequences when opened in LibreOffice - from no change at all (e.g., LibreOffice tolerates the corruption, or the corruption is in areas that LibreOffice doesn’t handle in its import filter at all), to some silent data drop, to some warnings followed by full or partial or no import, to crashes on import or immediately after … and you didn’t describe which problem you saw actually when tried to
Install a virtual PDF printer on the Windwos machine.
Let MS Office repair the files and print them to the PDF printer.
