After copy and paste accdb to Libre odb the columns did not match up. For example costs had dates listed underneath it. And other column mistakes.
Which database do you use? Internal HSQLDB? LibreOffice odb-files could connect to many different databases, also (in Windows directly or by ucanaccess under Linux).
How did you copy the Access tables?
When inserting the tables into the database Base is connecting to: There will be a wizard for choosing field types. Many field types won’t be recognized directly from the first fields of a table so you have to set this types correctly.
Screenshots would help to see, what problems appear.
RobertG,
Thanks for taking the time to respond! I used HSQLDB per Libre Office instruction set. I used the wizard when field types showed up and I selected them all, i.e moved them left to right. Then another set of fields popped up and I selected them also. I think I set them improperly. I can’t send a screen shot because in moving files around I lost all data. Going to start all over.
Thanks for your help though. merry Christmas.

On a Windows box:
File>New>Database…
Connect to existing database.
Type: MS Access
You get a Base document connected to your Access database.
Thank you so much! I love the comraderrie in this community!
