Copy text from table retaining styles

Hi
I’m wondering if there’s a way in LO 7.6.2.1 x86_64 win 10 to cut/copy all the text from a range of cells in a writer table and paste it into a new document in such a way that it is no longer in a table but retains paragraph and character styles.
Paste as unformatted text obviously loses the styles; all the other ‘paste as’ options seem to retain the styles but paste into a table in the new doc.
My current method is to cut the text from each cell individually and paste into the new doc but this is laborious as I have several dozen docs to get through, some of which have several hundred cells, and I wonder if there’s a more efficient way that I haven’t thought of.
Thanks,
Gary

Have you given a try at Table>Convert>Table to Text with the cursor in the table?

You can choose which “delimiter” will be used between former cells.

Do this after you’ve pasted the table into the new document.

By the way, I hope your save format is .odt otherwise you may lose some formatting.

That’s it!! Thanks, that’s saved me a hell of a lot of time!
