I have imported a .cdr file that I created in CorelDraw a long time ago. It was of a boat layout and had several pages and layers.
I had 4 pages.
Draw has opened the 4 pages correctly, but I’m having problems with layers on page 1.
For example on page 1 the hull frames in CDRW were shown as a set of 44 vertical lines, on one layer and the internal layout on another layer.
I’ve now got 3 layers when I open in .odg - Layout, Controls and Dimension Lines. All 3 are the same and when I edit the Layout layer, the edits are on the other 2 layers.
So, I’ve created another layer called Frames and it has all the objects as on the other 3 layers. If I delete everything from the new layer, everything disappears from the other layers.
If I hide the 3 original layers, objects still get deleted.
I’ve tried to select all 44 numbered vertical frame lines but holding shift down and dragging a box over one end of all the lines. If I drag a box over all the lines, I’ll select everything on the layout.
I did the same thing in CDRW with wiring - I had each circuit on a different layer so I could easily see which wire I was playing with.
So, a little stymied to get objects on a separate layer.
