Curser Behavior in Writer When Switching Between Windows in Mac OS 27

I’m not sure if it is that I don’t have my settings correct, but with Writer open using Mac OS 27, switching to another window causes the curser default to the top of the page when returning to the Writer window.

It does not appear to do this when I am in my Windows setup, it only happens in Mac OS. I’m using Mac OS 27.

Am I missing a setting, or is this a bug?

I don’t know why the cursor would shift in Mac, in Windows there is a setting Activate on hover which changes which window receives keyboard input without clicking; there might be something similar in Mac.

You could try Shift+F5, see Shortcut Keys for LibreOffice Writer

Effect Shortcut Key
Moves the cursor to the position that it had when the document was last saved before it was last closed. Shift+F5
