Cursor stuck in text box after paste operation

I copied some text from a web page and pasted into a document for use as notes and highlighting key points. I have about 10 pages of notes thus far and no issue.
Occasionally the paste will bring a text box from the web page. This hasn’t caused a problem in the past.

I have a text box now with my text that I can’t seem to remove the cursor from. I have tried to force a manual page break and I still end up with a bounding box and can not get my cursor out of it. I’m kind of in a time crunch to finish the notes, and I suppose I can just deal with everything I enter being in the box. But for the future it would be nice to solve this.

I created a text box and this doesn’t behave the same way, possibly this is pasting in as a table with just one cell?

Please see my comment below. I don’t think the question should have been closed. I say that because although a “right answer” has been accepted, it’s only feasible in a particularly simple case.

I will add a work around to answer my own question. I did manage to cut the text out and paste above the box and keep working. I removed all the text and managed to delete the box, which did not allow me to scale it, so I will assume that it was actually a single field table. I didn’t seem to be able to adjust the properties of the table, or get the cursor out of it. So there is still an issue that needs to be figured out.

I’m having this problem too, and it really does hurt useability. The answer above isn’t feasible for me, because my textboxes result from pasting Gmail messages into a document. I’m making a compilation of email responses to a question, and need to retain the mails in their original format, so I can’t mess with that. Even if I could, there are too many textboxes: lifting all the text out would take too long. Why can’t Libre just put the cursor at the end at the outermost level???
