Customize writer autocorrect?

In writer I keep making an error, instead of typing “better” I type “bette” which Autocorrect changes to “Bette”.

Can I set Autocorrect up to change “bette” to “better” (case insensitive) instead.

I’ve looked and maybe if I edit the DocumentList.xml?

Searching for “libreoffice writer edit DocumentList.xml” didn’t return any useful results in the 1st 20.

Thank you

Thank you!

You can add your own AutoCorrect rule.

  1. open Tools>AutoCorrect>AutoCorrect Options
  2. go to Replace tab, check that the correct language is selected
  3. in Replace type bette, in With better
  4. OK
